Our Broker, James C. Horras, A.L.C., G.R.I., C.G.A.: Jim began his career in real estate sales in 1975, became a broker in 1980, became a partner in Fairfield Real Estate in the summer of 1991, and the sole owner of ERA FAIRFIELD REAL ESTATE in 2001.  Specializing in the sale and appraisal of agricultural and commercial real estate, Jim is also a proficient auctioneer and was among Iowa's first Certified General Real Property Appraisers.  Jim is one of only 23 persons in the state of Iowa to possess the A.L.C. (Accredited Land Consultant) designation, and he has also earned the G.R.I (Graduate of the Realtor's Institute) designation.  He also attended Iowa State University, and he continues his real estate education by regularly attending conferences and seminars in cities such as Chicago and Washington D.C.  Jim and his wife, Nancy, have three children, Mackenzie, Natalie, and Vincent.  In his free time, Jim enjoys playing golf and working on the family farm.

Tammy Dunbar, G.R.I., A.B.R., Broker Associate:  Tammy established her association with ERA FAIRFIELD REAL ESTATE eleven years ago. Tammy reached $1,000,000 in sales in her first year associated with the firm, and has been a multi-million dollar producer each year since. She believes professionalism is enhanced by education, and she obtained her Broker's license in May of 2005. Tammy is also an Accredited Buyer's Representative (A.B.R.) and a Graduate of the Realtor's Institute (G.R.I.). She is a Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, and has been on the Chamber Board for the past five years. Tammy also served as the secretary of the Southeast Iowa Board of Realtors for four years. She and her husband Jeff have two sons, and they are very active in church, school, and civic activities.

Judith Cox, S.R.E.S., Sales Associate:   Judy began selling real estate in 1986, and she joined ERA FAIRFIELD REAL ESTATE in 1997.  Judy has been involved in both residential and commercial sales throughout her career.  She is very community-minded, being a past president of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Fairfield Rotary Club, and she has also been involved in many Jefferson County Hospital events.  Judy enjoys her grandchildren, boating, and living in a secluded area surrounded by many trees, which complements her love of nature and wildlife.  Judy has recently earned the Senior Real Estate Specialist designation, certifying her ability to provide service to a growing market sect and further demonstrating the commitment of ERA Fairfield Real Estate and staff to education.

Karen Hewitt, Sales Associate:  Karen began her real estate career in 2006 and joined ERA Fairfield Real Estate in 2007.  She continues to further her education and has a great enthusiasm for her new career.  She brings with her strong professionalism and a desire to serve clients' needs.  Karen attended the University of Northern Iowa and returned to Fairfield in 2000. Karen recently completed ERA's ten unit "Acceleration" course and is an ERA Seller Security Plan specialist, continuing her education and enabling herself to be of greater service to her clients.  She and her husband Dan have three children and enjoy their activities, as well as traveling, and a wide variety of other interests.

Steve Cracker, Sales Associate:  Steve started his real estate career in 2007, after spending thirty-four years in banking with the past twenty-seven years in Fairfield.  Steve brings a high level of professionalism to ERA Fairfield Real Estate as well as a commitment of service to his customers, as demonstrated in his successful completion of ERA's ten unit "Acceleration" course.   Steve and his wife, Mary, have two daughters, Erin and Emily. Linda Scott, Sales Associate:  Linda is an Iowa native growing up in the Agency area.  She continued her education at Indian Hills Community College and the University of Iowa.  Her background includes bookkeeping and income tax preparation, working for National Life Insurance & Pioneer Mutual Funds.  She is also a certified equine appraiser.  Linda joined ERA Fairfield Real Estate as a new licensee in December 2005 and is currently a residential real property appraisal apprentice.  Her favorite hobby is training and racing standardbred horses.

As owner and manager of Iowa Wildlife Habitat Services, Rich brings an extensive professional background in outdoors and recreational land investing to the firm.  He is presently involved in the management of thousands of acres of recreational land for clients across the nation and is personally a seasoned land investor, owning several hundred acres himself.  Waite has appeared on national television, published over 100 articles pertaining to hunting and fishing, has contributed to numerous newspapers and a book.  Waite has attended Iowa State University & the University of Montana.  His wife Paula is a Wal-Mart pharmacist.  They and son Allen make their home hear Libertyville.
